About the Journal
Journal of Inclusive Language Education (JILE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing equitable, accessible, and socially responsive language education. JILE utilizes a double-blind peer review process. The journal provides a scholarly platform for research, theory, policy, and practice addressing the diverse linguistic, cognitive, cultural, social, and educational needs of language learners across all educational settings.
The journal is totally free to read and publish. It does not charge any fees from the readers or authors. The journal welcomes high-quality original research that explores inclusive approaches to first, second, foreign, heritage, and multilingual language education. Particular attention is given to learners with disabilities, learning differences, migration or refugee backgrounds, socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, and other groups whose participation in language learning may be affected by structural, pedagogical, or institutional barriers.
